The first carbon fibre recycling stream in 2019

Alpha Recyclage Composites in Toulouse has admitted two partners into its capital to help it develop the first stream for the recovery of carbon fibre composite materials in France.

STS Groupe, specialised in the manufacture of composite parts for the aerospace, automobile and energy sectors, and the Tarn-based company Freyssinet Aeroequipment, a subcontractor for Safran notably for precision mechanical parts and sub-assemblies, have invested a total of 600,000 euros.

This envelop should enable Alpha Recyclage Composites, created in Toulouse in 2009, to industrialise a carbon fibre recycling process by steam thermolysis (the combined action of heat and steam), developed with the Ecole des Mines in Albi-Carmaux (Tarn).
