RTM (resin transfer moulding) injection moulding
RTM injection moulding is performed in rigid moulds and counter-moulds. The preform is applied on the interior of the mould. Once the counter-mould is set and locked, the (accelerated and catalysed) resin is injected at a pressure between 1.5 and 4 bar until the cavity is completely filled.

Applications of the process:

  • Elements of vehicle bodywork
  • Cowling
  • Mid-size series for diverse industrial parts

Vacuum forming
Depending on the characteristics of the parts, vacuum forming can be carried out in rigid, semi-rigid or flexible moulds and counter-moulds. The preform is applied on the interior of the mould and a catalysed resin is poured in. During vacuum forming, the pressure exerted on the mould ensures that the resin is properly distributed and the preform is correctly saturated.

Applications of the process:

  • Sandwich panels
  • Protective helmets
  • Cowling

Contact moulding
Contact moulding is the production of parts without pressure and at room temperature based on thermosetting resins. The preform is applied on the mould and saturated with liquid resin. Once the resin sets, the part is demoulded and trimmed.

Applications of the process:

  • Small series of transport parts
  • Formwork (construction)
  • Boating parts
